  • NXT with/without Full Sun Shots

    Hey everyone,

I decided to take a break and detail my Ford Super Duty. The problem was that I had very little time to do it. Luckily, I detailed it a month ago, so I used Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax with a PC and a W-9006 Finishing Pad. The results are awesome!!

The more I use the Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax, the more I LOVE it!!

Here is the truck at sunrise this morning (a day after I applied the NXT):

Here is a full sun shot of the hood. There are no swirls and the NXT really brought out the metallic flakes in the paint!

Taking full sun shots are not that easy as I am still seeing blue spots!!!

Finally, I just love the deep reflections from NXT (also taken at sunrise):

Later this week, I have to feather sand a couple of small scratches, and use the rotary on a couple of spots. I will post a follow-up.

    Cheers!

      Thanks!

Yep, I like the "golden hour" before sunset and after sunrise. That way, I can get full sun shots at the sides of the vehicles. If you take the pictures in the middle of the day, you would need a polarizer to cut the glare so you can actually see the paint as clearly as possible.

        Hey,

Here is an example of a shot taken at mid day yesterday. With the sun overhead, this is NXT on the wheels:

Beautiful truck, those wheels are ridiculously clean, especially for a truck. Nice work.

how'd you do the roof with the boat in the way?
looks great! poor flys probably think they found a nice clean spot to land................untill they slide off and break their necks.

                Hey guys,

                Thanks!!

                Beginner2002,

Cool smilie!! I will have to see we add that one to the list!!

                2000,

The boat is not the problem; it is the rack and boat loader! I have to remove the boat, then imitate a monkey to buff around the bars! Washing is not that hard, but buffing sure is! Try using a rotary up there while hanging on!
