Well...I'm pleased to tell you all, that I actually had a pretty clean car to start my day....

No garbage....no rocks...no salt...no mud...little dust...and it appears that the owner took some pride in his vehicle!

This 2001 Hyundai Tiburon did however need a little "f1guy68" style! So that's what I went about doing...lol

I did not take before pictures, as it really was nothing much to document, and in this post, I'm demonsrating the results in using #83, #80 & Gold Class!

The procedure was as follows:

Interior:

Vacuum and wash floor mats!

Clean with Meguiar's Extra and treat with #40!

Exterior:

#83 with PC on polishing pad @ speed 4.5 on hood, roof and trunk lid!

#80 with PC on polishing pad @ speed 4.0 on whole car!

Topped with Gold Class with PC on finishing pad on speed 3.0

Buffed of with Ultimate Bonnet on PC @ speed 5.0!

Engine:

Light degreaser, pressure washed and lightly misted/dressed with some #40!

I agree that the color is not the most exciting! It was a color that really couldn't decide on being burgandy...lol

None the less...If you can make the color look deeper, richer and shinier...it's alright with me! I just clean them....don't own them...hahahaha

I was going to go NXT, but decided GC for fun!

With GC...I put it on and let is haze for about 15 -20 minutes..kind of like NXT! Then I buff it off! I find the results are much better than applying it and just wiping it off right away!

The client.....no no no....pictures are deceiving...lol

I have always thought that burgandy was the car that the dealerships could "bait and switch" with. We saw an outstanding prices in the newspaper, went to the dealership and found out it was comatose burgandy. "Ready to give up having fun in life? Get a burgandy car." (just a harmless opinion)

Since this was kind of a follow up service not a full detail per say do you offer a discounted price or charge the full dirty car deatil price??

I only charged $120 for the detail!

A full detail would normally be $200-$250.00 CDN!

By The Way...Took 2.75 Hours = 43.63 per hour!

I don't own it!

And I rarely use it!

I prefer the old two bucket/hand wash and streaming water technique!

But I will check for you and get back to you on this!

Whatever it is, it has a lot of pressure! Really kicks the arm back when you squeeze the trigger! And I'm no little guy at 6'3" and 230lbs...hehehehehe

Did you mask anything off before you hit it with the pressure washer?

Nah...No taping or cobvering anything!

I just keep my wits about me and make sure I don't saturate the alternator or coil packs etc!

Otherwise, all is safe!
