After getting the PC and attending this Open Garage on Jan 7th, I finally had a chance to tackle my swirled out car.

I washed and clayed then hit the trunk lid with #80. After 2 passes it was still swirled, so I hit it with a pass of #83. Much better! Ended up having to go with 83 all around.

I took me a few hours on Sunday and Monday (I hate winter - days too short), but I was able to also get a coat of NXT on to finish up around 7:00 pm.

Not much reflection to work with after the sun went down. Most of the After shots were taken in my garage with a lamp as the main source of light.

Overall, I'm very impressed and THANK YOU to MEGUIAR's for the great products and their OPEN GARAGE!!

Can you tell me where you got that cart and what brand/model it is. I have been looking for a decent rolling car I could store my products on?

I got the cart at my local Costco... $38.99 + tax. 2 of the 4 wheels are lockable. It really helped out being able to move it around while I was working.

Oh, and since someone will eventually say it anyway............you need to dress those wheel wells!!!!

Great job on the paint but the untreated wheel wells distract from the work you've done. Clean them with APC or Safe d-greaser next time and dress them with a product like all seasons.

First off, I'm glad you took the comments about the wheel wells in the spirit they were intended. Hey, anybody who posts pix of their car on a detailing forum without shiny wheel wells gets called on it!!!!! Ask me how I know.

As a substitute for APC just use your regular wash solution and an old toilet brush. These brushes have long handles and just the right bristles for cleaning up and around the wheels. After they dry just spray 'em with your favorite dressing.
