  • GF's 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade!

Well out of some miracle I awoke from my hangover today while in bed with my girlfriend and decided I was going to do the detail job on her car. So she took my Matrix today and I took her Jeep. She bought it brand new last October. I installed the light bar for her form Christmas last year, that was 4 hours of fun. So it was washed, clay barred, I used Meguiar's 83 on the hood and 80 on the rest of the car before finishing off with some Gold Class. I love my G100, Man this car came out good!

Here it is all washed, again, looks clean right?

Not according to Mr. Clay Bar

The Renegade has tons of cladding from the wide fender flares to the door handles

I started pulling off the tape as I finished the sections with the final wax. So here you go, the final product!

Great job, man, looks great. What did you use on the trim?

nice job, the liberty is very annoying to detail isnt it, especially with a PC!!

      great work!

I didn't do the trim yet. I'm actually on a search for a good product. Right now I use Meguiar's Shine (little red bottle, black spray top) It works good, but is kinda residuey and when it rains before it really settles in, it can run. Plus if it touches the paint it leaves a oily film.

In that case I have nothing but good things to say about #40. Its not oily, not too shiny, it lasts, and O'Reilly's stocks it so I can get it locally.

It looks wonderful! (And like lots of work!) I love the super-shiny "Jeep" in the last picture. =)

Great job! The jeep looks as good as new. Willing to bet the gf is happy now.

Oh she is, and the best part is, tonight her grandparents are making use dinner. She is Syrian and they make the best frigin' food. Her grandfather (we call them Situ and Jidu) makes a mean homemade pasta sauce where he throws in a whole jabanero pepper and mashes it into the sauce, its fantastic!

#40 huh? I'll look more into that today, I would love to find something that is not oily, looks shiny and clean, and does not leave a film when touching paint or rain.
