  • Finally Done!

So altogether around 18-20 hours just on the paint. The only things left to do are the interior, wheel wells and engine bay. But for now I am just glad to have my car back to showroom status. It was a mess since I first got it back in August of '06.

The last step was done with G100, 9006 pad and Meguiar's Gold Class liquid wax.

It is supposed to rain for the rest of the weekend here, and be 20 degrees and ice on Monday. But I feel better now that the car is covered. I also purchased a waffle pattern drying microfiber and man that thing is huge and it works Awesome! Anyways, here are the final pics, enjoy!

How do you like the Matrix? My wifes been wanting one. Or the Vibe, it's twin.
    Good gas mileage I presume.

      Thanks!

The Matrix is a great car! I sold my 02 Civic 2dr. for this car. The amount of room is amazing. It holds unbelievable amounts of stuff and great mileage. I have the AWD version which they stopped making as of 2006, but it gets slightly less than the 30+ you get with the other models. I average between 24-30.

I live in the Northeast so AWD for me was a big thing to have. The interior is extremely roomy and comfortable for long trips especially. The Vibe is the twin from Pontiac and the interiors are identicaly, all sheetmetal outside is different though. The car rides on the Corolla frame but is actually shorter than a Corolla, but wider and holds more.

I love it and have no complaints!

Thats good to hear for long trips. I was wondering that. We currently have Sable and Taurus, they are aging, they are 99's.
I have noticed the Vibe has luggage racks and the Matrix does not.

Yeah, the Vibe does have a roof rack which people have claimed is a bit noisy on the highway. You can add them to the Matrix though from THULE.

Anyways, to put it best. I live in CT and went to the Jets game a few weeks ago. About an hour and a half ride. I fit the following:

          -4 full sized adults
-Two coolers (the ones that can hold two 30 packs a piece.
          -Portable Grill (10"x20")
-Folding Table (the church sized ones that fold in half, it fit on the floor of the cargo area perfectly)
          -Bags of Food
          -Warm extra clothing

And I have room to spare. I also have put an 8 foot ladder in it with the rear and front passenger seat folded down, hatch closed!

Thanks again all. I made another post with the girlfriends Liberty that I did today.

Def. go check the car out. I found mine fully loaded, moonroof, 16" alloy wheels, full lip kit, fog lamps, 6 disc in-dash CD changer, rear bumper protector, ventshades, leather wrapped wheel.
