    Real magic at work here!
You've done a great job to a car that otherwise would've been doomed for a repaint.

    Good job!

I don't have info on the Snap On model, but here is a link to a company that makes a similar one (and probably less $$ compared to SnapOn)

Well, that's a pretty impressive transformation, looks just great, and may I ask
what " compound " you used with the Festool and a W8006 Polishing pad?
        I just love detailing

Your Weber looks like it needs a bit of polishing.

DetailManiac: I use a 3M light compound on the rotary and Optimum Compound on the Festool. I like the Optimum because it doesn't produce as much dust and 3M's and I am able to work it longer.

I use the Festool in rotary mode on the plastic body panels. The big DeWalt rotary is too powerful for that work and can burn plastic quickly. The Festool has some orbital action even in the rotary mode and seems to work well with the Meguiar's pads.

Nice work on the Bimmer. Why does it have those track tires on it? You'd think if the previous owner was kind enough to put those tires on there, they would have cared for the paint.

Yeah, the lift is a Snap-On - just to confirm. We got one off eBay for $750. It had been used 3 times, was pretty dirty, and the motor had a short which we found out when we went to pick it up in Indy. So in total, the cost was $1000 for an almost new mid-rise lift that was originally priced for $4000 plus freight. A company called Wheeltronics out of Canada makes the lift for Snap-On. Beware of these lifts that have been used in body shops! If you do find a good one, they are built really well with some thick steel and some huge welds.
