    First time with PC

    Well, tonight I finally got a chance to tackle my cobwebs on my black Dodge Ram. I watched the "How-To" dvd about using the PC and rafter eading a ton on information on this site, I ordered the products and gave it a whirl.

    I'll try and get some daytime pics of the "after shots".

    NXT Car Wash
    Ultra Plush Wash Mop (LOVE this for the roof of my quad cab)
    Smoothe Surface Clay Kit
    #80 with 8006 pad (Amazing product! Enough said)
    NXT Tech Wax with 9006 pad (Easy on, easy off)
    7006 pad with bonnet for EASY wax removal
    #7 Show Car Glaze (makes the color smoothe and dark)


    I have the #21 and #26 which I want to use, but not sure if either woudl be OK to put on over the Tech wax...from what I read I believe I can put the #26 over it, then the #26. Correct me if I am wrong. The paint isn't in perfect condition (due to fine scratches), but it is MUCH better. It is very deep and glossy, which for a black Dodge says a lot.

    Like I said, this was my first time using the PC, so I am satisfied with the results. I know I will only get better with practice. I still have some fine scratches, which I should have used #83 a bit on, but I'll give that a try next time.

        It was! I actually washed it the day before and then detailed it from 6pm-11pm last night. It was fun, but man it was exhausting....well worth it though!

        I looked at it for the first time in the sun today and man does it look NICE!

        I looked closely and there is a slight film on top.....perhaps I didn't get all the #7 off? I am not sure if this is "hazing", I don't think it is. I can take my finger and wipe it off, so I am thinking the detailer spray should take care of that. At least I'm headed in the right direction.

        Thanks for the compliments!! It was extremely easy, just takes a little time.

                        Daytime Pics Are In....

                        Alright, I knew I wouldn't have time to take any by the time I got home, so I took my camera to work. Here are some shots. (My truck's paint has never been this deep and glossy before.....better than expected results)











                        There was a slight film on the sides as I mentioned before. I believe this is from the #7. I think I'll get the #5 since humidity is high where I am at. I didn't realize the difference until after I got my products. Still looks good though.

                            That was smart thinking taking your camera to work for the daytime pictures ... otherwise you know people would nicely be bugging you for the pictures until you got to take them! It looks so wonderfully shiny too!! Awesome!!

                              Thanks for the feedback! It is much appreciated. I don't realize how much truck I have until I start trying to detail it. Of course, with time I expect to be a little quicker.
