    Re: paint gauge

Now I might ask a very stupid question but here it goes..
    What does that thing do?
Does it measure the fine scratches in the paint/clear coat?

            Re: paint gauge

            I am sooooooooooooo jealous.

Tim, it’s made by DeFelsko. They call the model a PosiTector 200 advanced. They’re more than a grand cheaper than the model 100 that they replace. But they’re still a couple grand over my budget.

                    Re: paint gauge

in my eyes its a must

it tells you the thickness of the clear coat and when yoy are working on cars that are made of carbon this is a must

just think of the cost if you went through the clear coat would be not just the cost of repair but also the cost of your reputaion

so in my eyes its a good deal
