This was the second detail I did today, a wash, polish and wax of 300M. There was some bad swirling on the driverside of the hood that cleaned up with a little buffing.
Process....
Wash with NXT
Clay with Megs Blue Clay, Last Touch as lube
#83/8006 pad on rough areas, via rotary at 1500 rpm
#82/9006 pad on entire car, via rotary at 1100 rpm
Megs Hotshine on the tires
Megs Hyperdressing in the wheel wheels
Megs NXT window cleaner
Sealed with #21 on 9006 pad/PC
After washing with NXT, the surface felt very gritty. About 30 minutes of claying solved this. Here is a picture after half of the trunk...

Here is some of the heavy swirling on the hood. One pass of #83 cleared this up on the rotary. Here it is with the camera flash...

Same area using a Xenon...

After on one pass of #83 on the rotary at 1500 rpm, using camera flash

Same are using the Xenon (this may have been after the #82 also).

The owner didn't want a full buff, but I decieded to give the car a once of with #82 to lightly polish the surface (as the previous afters with the #83 where noticably darker then those with out) and insure uniformity. Then I applied #21 via PC (I wanted to go with a sealent to allow the flake to pop, even though I'm a carnuba guy at heart)
Afters...

This car looks familar?
