I've just completed my 1st detail, well actually my 2nd. I did my '95 Honda Accord 2 months ago. This is my 1st for my '06 Honda Pilot. This was done by hand, my G-100 is coming next week. It took me a total of 16 hours over 2 days. Here's my process:
Cleaned/Washed tires with NXT Tire Cleaner
Cleaned wheels with Gold Class Wheel Cleaner
Wiped down wheel wells (were already clean)
Washed with NXT car wash (2 bucket method)
Dried with Maguiar's water magnet towels (2)
Sprayed tires with NXT Insane Shine
Clayed using Maquiars's smooth surface clay kit
Wiped car down afterwards with QD
Then I taped the car with 3/4" and 1" blue painters tape
Polished using DC#1, then DC#2, some Scratch X
1st coat of wax with #21
2nd coast of was with NXT Liquid Wax
removed all polsihes and waxes with Maguiar's microfiber towels
removed tape
Cleaned windows with NXT window cleaner
Did trim with Tech Protect
Cleaned Chrome side steps with NXT metal polysh
Cleaned headlights/turn signals, tail lights, wind visor and moonroof visor with #18, Clear plastic detailer
The entire time I kept asking myself, "why didn't I buy a Miata"
