Customer does his own car!

The easist labor I have done . The customer wanted to buff his single stage car via PC, and had never used one before. I agreed to give him some pointers and turn him lose on the G100.

1993 BMW, red. The horizantal surfaces where oxidized, giving a dead feeling to them.

I started by demostrating a small area, 1x1 maybe. Process was the Porter Cable with 8006 pad and Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze. Here you can see some before and afters...





After doing a couple more sections, plus alittle by rotary, I handed the PC off to Mikeal so he could get the job done. He went to work...





He did the whole car with the 80/8006. I then showed him how to apply 21 via PC. This was done was 9006 pad, then removed via 7006 with a bonnet over.

The final results where a much deeper red, that was both wet and reflective.

A proud owner and his baby...



Final result was a 1993 that looked as good as any 2003 on the road... Tire where dressed with NXT Insane Shine, and all exterior trim was dressed with Exterior Detailer aresol spray...

I've always liked the idea of trying to train my clients (the ones that were interested in learning). I think it builds more value for your work when the client has an understanding of the work you're performing on their vehicle.

Plus its cool educating and training folks on proper car care. We've learned so much from this and other forums that it's nice to pass on the knowledge so to speak.

Probably none, but his car looks great (better then the pictures show) so thats the point anyways... I'm happy he gained alittle knowledge and a gorgeous paint job in the process.

Each one teach one... Mike would be so proud. BMW looks nice for being 13 years old.

That's great that you were able to teach someone like that. That's what this is all about anyways. The less cars I see on the road with swirls and marring the happier I'll be.

I thought you were having streaking issues with #21? Did they get you a new bottle?

I had a couple sample bottles that I recieved at the detailing class, and yes there was still minor streaking.
