  • Oxidized Red RX7

Got my new car yesterday, spent today on an exterior detail, probably doing the interior on the next free day I have off. Some scratches I couldnt get out but oh well, it is 20 year old paint. AIO alone worked wonders on the oxidation, and I had my first try with OP, which after reading some of the posts here lately about it, was disappointing, application wise (bottle, lumpy polish).

    Wash
    Clay
    AIO on black LC pad
Megs #83 on orange LC pad
    OP on white LC pad
    Klasse SG
    S100

Tires and wells cleaned w/ cut degreaser, dressed wells with Simoniz Tire Foam, dressed tires with E1.

    Before

Hood was from another car, horribly dirty before it was washed, and still after it was washed.

Just AIO finished on the front of the fender

    Before

After only AIO (headlight, bumper, lights)

      Nice work
Detailing cars is a form of art. Most appreciate it, few possess the required skill and even fewer understand it.

That has certainly improved the finish nicely, the car has been transformed! Lovely work!

Great work! In the first pictures, it looked like that paint was beyond repair. One suggestion: You should have used the AIO afterthe #83 and OP and before the SG. The #83 and OP will have removed the coat of sealant left by the AIO.

I used AIO first to get rid of all the oxidation so I wouldnt clog up my cutting pads.
