  • Yellow Colour Reflection : Help *pic inside*

?Note : Mod, if this post is at the wrong place, pls move it accordingly.

Here a pic of the top of my Honda Civic 1993 EG6 ( yes, original, reconditioned model from Japan! I'm the 3rd owner though ). Colour is Giallo Modena ( sadly, it was not done by a good paintshop, only learned about this after a few months I had the repaint ), but I have learned from my mistake and in about 2 years, will send it to a shop who does a proper Glasurit solution instead.

Now back to the pix. Pic was taken at around 7.00 p.m ( Malaysian time ), and around this time, sun was almost gone. I decided not to use flash ( camera is a Exilim 3.2 MP, not a good camera! ). What do you think about the paint finish? Don't ask about swirls, it has plenty! That was before the days I discovered Meguiar's, the two bucket method etc. Is the reflectivity good for a bright colour like my Yellow Civic here? Comments guys!

    giallo modena?
would that happen to be the same PPG number as the giallo modena of "yellow" ferraris?

IMO its hard to tell the real condition ie. if its faded. because the color has a pale yellow to it, which may look like fading, but then again it could be the pale yellow metallic like a TT dodge stealth.

in my amateur opinion, it looks pretty good

Yep, same colour code! One thing that I found out with this paint is that, when the day is hot and the sun is 100@ out, the car looks so bright, at lowlight and under light at night it looks glossy.

The colour looks faded because it was almost dark at that time ( plus the point that the car was parked right beside my dad's covered parking spot, and that I was not using any flash ), I suppose.

I will repaint the same colour again ( but will make sure I'll send it to a proper Glasurit specialist this time! ) in two years' time, love how the paint make the car looks so....yummy and fast!
