  • Cadillac SRX detail

It's been raining for about a week in Seattle, but we had enough of a break for me to wash the car outside. After drying, I took it in the garage for waxing. The car had its paint prepped a couple of months ago, so I only had to wax. Wax used is High Tech Wax #26 in paste form. In looking at the photos, I realize now that I need to do the wheel wells a little bit better!

Because the light in the photos is either from the flash, or from the overhead lighting in the garage, the pictures don't do the car justice. But, you can see how there are no swirlies, and that the paint is very reflective! In the photos that I took with the flash off, the deepness of the paint really stands out. The "specks" you see in some of the photos is actually just the light hitting the metallic paint flakes just right -- it's not dust.

The color of the car is Moonstone -- sort of a dark grey, with dark green overtones (which isn't captured in the photos).

Rick at ADS said the APC+ is great for cleaning wheelwells, but I have to finish up my APC before trying it. Then dress with some ASD and foam paint brush.
