  • Last Nights Detail, It's Red, and it's BIG

    So my Buddy and I did some M83/M80/NXT magic on his truck, the process went somewhat like this.

    - Wash/Dry (truck has already been clayed)
    - Verticle surfaces- (3) coats of M83, Horizontal surfaces (1) coat applied with PC/RO
    - Verticle surfaces- (2) coats of M80, Horizontal surfaces (1) coat applied with PC/RO
    - Meguiars NXT, (1) coat, applied with PC/RO
    - Trim/Tire dressing completed w/NXT Tire shine

    On to the pics..
    Before

    After

    So everything went pretty well, BUT... We had a hard time removing ALL of the swirls?! A majority of them are gone, just not ALL of them... Is Dodge paint similiar to the honda paint (tough/hard) The routine we used was the same as when I did my Corrado, BUT.. we didn't get the same results Your comments and advice are greatly appreciated

      Ro = random Orbital (sorry)
      We were on speed 5
      The pad was the Meguiars "soft buff" (maroon foamy one)
      and passes were about 1'

      It did away w/most of the swirls, but not all of them. I had read that Honda's are often a pain in the neck because the paint was very hard paint?! Is it similiar w/Dodge trucks? What do you think?

          i think the maroon pad is a cutting pad, that might be why there are some left.(even though it says soft buff.)
