Ok over the last few weeks I have been working some issues out on my cars paint. A few scratches ( used ScratchX with varing sucess ) and I picked up the DC #1 and #2 I had NXT Paste Wax also picked up a new Clay Kit.
So 3 weeks ago I start a bit later than I had wanted ( I can't work on cars in my Condo lot so I have to drive to my Bosses house to do my work ). Start off with a DC Wash, Full Clay Bar ( Re did some areas 3 times ), use Quick Detailer over whole car after finishing the Clay. Broke out the cleaner and went to work, next the polish and then the NXT. While doing this by hand I see a reduction in some of my issues ( light swirls, light scratches etc ) it brought 1 up that I had not reall seen before and that horrid water etching. The hood and roof are just ate up with it. The sides of the car are ok but not in great shape. Finish up about 10pm and head home car looks good for teh most part but needs more love.
This week I picked up the rest of the stuff i needed for my PC ( 9006, 8006x2, 7006 pads, Bonnets, #83, #80 ). Wash the car again, reclay some areas I know are prone to collecting **** in the paint and start to work with the #80 on the hood. Well after 3 passes in the rather small area working the product in as best I can ( I havent used a PC in ages ) all the fine stuff is gone and the etching is just laughing at me. So I break out another 8006 pad and start working in the #83 and its a tad better but not making a big dent in the etching. So I finish working the car with #83, then work with #80 then the DC #2, then NXT Wax.
Learned quite a bit as I worked the car, I use a bit too much product and my hands feel like they are dead.
Today was a wash and rewax day and here are the results.

and the give away

I dont have much for before pictures of the finish, but its getting close to where I want it for the factory finish. If you zoom into the full sized image you can see the Factory Orange peel in the finish.
I have to admit I kind like the smell of the SC #2 polish
Thanks for looking ! If you have any suggestions I am always eager to hear better ideas or thoughts on what I am doing.
