Here are a few pics of my first detail try with my new PC unfortunately my camera is not the best so it does not really show the clarity of the paint after doing clay, polish, wax and a sealer also did engine compartment
I have not run into anyone yet who doesn't love this machine, but dare I ask, "How did you like it?" Will you ever be able to understand why you detailed by hand for so long? Anyway, just wanted to say welcome to the club. Your PC should keep you happily detailing for years. The only problem is all of your friends and family who are going to ask for favors and you may spend every Saturday in your garage. Well, maybe there is no down side?!?
First of all "Sneek" thanks I could not figure out how to make the pic larger
Brian you are correct I don't know how I went so long without it I had previously applied everything by hand then removed it with a 10" craftsman "polisher" until it puked out on me (can't complain lasted almost 15 years and used it on a lot of cars) but it was not much more than a removal tool. As I started to browse all the detail forums around I learned of the PC and I was hooked.
This was my first "real" detail although I had previously done my wifes van but was very cautious to get use to the PC, but now that Iv'e used it I am hooked
And you are correct all the realitives are coming out of the wood work wanting to know if they can get the "family rate" to do their cars now, up to this point I have only did a white and my yellow vehicle so I am tempted to at least one of theirs because it is a nice dark blue Mazda 6 so when finished the paint should hopefully look dark and rich, unlike the white or yellow where it's hard to really appreciate how clean and clear the paint is because it's such a light color.
