  • Beautiful Yellow after Detail ***56K DANGER***.

The weather was just perfect yesterday to get a great detail on my car to kick of the Spring.

The Arsenal, right after i moved the car in the garage after washing it.

    Driver Side.

Passenger side. (This is the weird part cause on this side I ran out of Paste was so i had to finish with the liquid instead. so i didnt get the same finishing look as the other side. It looks a little dull to me.

The Hood After Wax, buffer, and polisher.

but out of all of this what really annoyed me off is that. i tried everything to get the bumper cleaned out but i couldnt. Bug and tar didnt work, Clay Bar didnt work, car wash didnt work. im just annoyed cause it looks bad. any other suggestions.

        Hey ZincPony,

I would suggest using Meguiar's ScratchX with a piece of cotton towelling and really working it in. You need to keep working it until is is only a light residue. Then remove with a MF towel. You may have to do this a few times.

Some of the damage may be rock chips and therefore can not be removed. But the ScratchX should help to clean up the front quite a bit.

Here is a link that explains how to use ScratchX properly:

I also edited your post. MOL uses only G rated language as it is also a family site. Thanks.

          my apologies for that 2hotford.

its not damaged as much as just dirt and grime thats welded onto the bumper. Ill try the scratch X and the Paint Cleaner. but i just dont know why it slike that.

I had same prob with bug goo. Try Goo-Gone (not Goo-off).Or, As a last resort which worked for me was some of Megs Body Solvent. It smells just Like GC tar bug remover, but is a little more concentrated too. It is very smoot and oily like so as to not mar the finish while getting the bugs off.
You can get a sample size bottle I believe from ADS. It is great to have around to remove hard bug stains from glass too. It Does not remove paint, but does remove wax.

                    Nice Car!!!

**PS** Get some Meguiar's Plast-X for those headlight lenses!!

like many mustangs, my headlights are also film clouded. the only way to get the cloudy layer out is to wet sand it.
