  • My Dodge Stealth

Since the an inncident me involving me hitting a ditch over the summer, (See thread)

I decided to get a new bumper and get the car painted. It turned out awsome what can I say. We did my hood, new bumper, roof, and mirrors. Cost 360$. Here is after the paint and using Gold Class Car wash, NXT Gen Wax, and then Polish, using a bunch of microfiber gold class towels and a pad. Turned out great!
    1991 Dodge Stealth ES 5-Speed.

Picture of my hood, note all the nicks.

Here is my bumper that is damaged.

Here you can see my dull and faded mirror.

My roof, which was starting to oxidize bad and faded out.

    The paint bought.

    The bumper I bought (50$).

    Next pics are prepping pictures.

    Poor thing.

    The roof.

In this picture you can see how dull the mirror really was.

This would be the rear. As you can see it doesnt need painted nearly as the front, so I decided to just stick with what was needed and save the money.

Here are the after shots. Pictures dont do justice how shiny it is.

    Side shot.

    No more dullness!

    My hood.

    Thought this picture was cool.

    O yea.

    Last but not least.

There ya have it folks. I think it turned out great.

now you can "feed the paint" with #7 or you can remove any swirls with #80 but dont use anything else that offers prtection besides #80

Yes they are the same exact car, only difference is badges and some moldings. Dont let the "Dodge" fool you this car was made in Japan.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I only have one problem now and that is the rear trunk hatch that is starting to oxidixe, I will post a thread soon to see if you guy can help me there.

Yeah... maybe not many of them made it to the midwest or something, who knows. From time to time you will see a Mistubishi running around.

Interesting, I take it its different in Canada, but they made many more 3000gt's than Stealths.

you do the paint job yourself? Looks good!! Its a good color match too, usually you can tell difference in hue or shade from original paint to new paint , but I looked closely and didnt notice.

No sir, it give the credit to my friends father, he worked on it. You can only tell the difference if you REALLY look at it in the sun and if your on the side. I do know that he had to order double the paint because it was extremly thin and had to work with it much to get it as dark as my car paint.

Another thing we have to do is buff it now because the paint is starting to run or something i forget what he called it, but buffing will fix it.
