Dont know for sure just yeat but should be in the 450hp range and the car will only weigh about 1900 pounds.

    It is pretty and productive

    I can't imagine that in a 1900lbs car

      377?

Is it a 350 with a 400 crank, but with out the .030 overbore or is it a 400 block destrocker with a 3.48 large jornal crank?

        I'm guessing 400 block.

I would think that a 377 destroker would be overkill. The main reason for building one is when you are capped in displacement but want to turn a ton of RPM.

The 383 is generally cheaper to build, has better realibilty IMO (I never trusted the siamese waterjackets on 400 blocks) plus the stroker cranks tend to shift the power band downwards.

            450HP + 1900 LBS =

Better lay an extra coat of wax behind rear tire quarter panels for all that flying molten rubber!

              350 Block with a 400 crank but not the 30 over.....this would be a 383.
I did this because the parts were avaliable and 377's and 383's make a ton of torque..... but really because we had already had this motor builtand it has been sitting around for almost 2 years

Anyway got everything in this weekend and no scratches.... now time to start the wiring.
