  • an old-school t-bird couple saturdays ago.....

Sup guys, let me tell you a story. I was driving by this guys house one night around 1030pm. I alway make it a point to drive by this guys house cause he is always bringing in different cars. When I drove by, he was outside in his garage waxing his dart swinger. I did a u-turn, pulled over and introduced myself. We talked for awhile and he has four homeless people stay at his house to clean his car. As expected, the cars are filled with swirls. I showed up this past saturday to do his impala ss (it was actually owned by the beach boys). The car wasn't there so I called him and told him that I was at his house and what did he want me to do? He said, "go ahead and go into the garage and do the duke." I was floored. The t-bird was sitting there waiting for me. The t-bird was once owned by John Wayne. He shows up after an hour or so and watches me "do the duke". When lunch rolled around, I told him I was going to go to Mcdonalds to get my some lunch, he told me to take the car. I told him "no way"......he then jumped in the car and told me to get in. He bought me lunch on the other side of the island and we cruised around for two hours. When we brought the car back I had to re-wash the car then applied M-21. It was an experience, on to the pics.

ahhh... my dream machine. The '66 has always been my fave... the sleekest & most elegant of the square birds. Always loved the lines of that year (and the directional taillamps) Have always had mixed emotions on the roadster kit. Love the look, but not the padded fairings. I'd also nix the continental kit, but that's just personal preference.

I passed up an opportunity to pick up a beautiful '66 vert about 6 years ago. Was a former museum car in beatiful condition & had the optional 428. Same color combo... rangoon red & white. I still regret not buying it, but am sure another will come around again some day. Hopefully, I'll then have a larger garage. I don't like parking ANYTHING outside at night.

      nice work... gorgeous car...

oh yeah... that car's just BEGGING for the fender skirts. I always thought the skirts totally MADE that car. There again, I guess it's preference. I can't imagine buying any square bird without skirts, though I know plenty were sold that way.
