  • Saab 900 -88, previously pink

    Hi there!

Just thought I'd post a couple of pictures from the transformation from a pink Saab 900 to a red Saab 900

The owner was very satisfied with the result!

Here's a square on the roof that I polished with the M80 (used mostly the M80 all over the car)

Then I did half the hood

And the final result (sorry, we had like 10 inches of snow coming down outside the garage, so no daylight pictures)

    That looks pretty good Marcus!

M80 is a very versatile product and will solve a lot of problems on it's own, follow up with a wax and you're good to go. I've worked on a number of these older Saabs like this one, same color in fact for one of them.

Good job taping off and capturing the before and after difference, if you're detailing for income, save these pictures and create a little album to show future customers as an example of what you can do for them and their cars.

        Nah, it's not that extreme

It's just an oxidized paint making the transformation a dramatic one.. however, not extreme at all ...

It was fun to see the results but it was a looot of work doing it! Took me around 6 hours and I didn't really do any rubbing besides on a few spots. Most of the car got a #80 + tech wax treatment..

But the paint tore off easily and the pads started gumming up quite fast, so I had to clean them every now and then... So, lots of work but hopefully the owner is going to be pleased!

            Wow great job there.
Man, how do you do that with a M80? what pad are you using? Are you using a rotary?

Actually, I did the same thing on a "pink" Concorde last summer for my friend...car went from pink to red using #80 and G100 with the 8006 pad....NXT was the wax I used.

Rotary with the 8006 pad and sometimes the 7006.... Not that hard really!

But, I started out with a couple of (new) pads I used before I got my batch of supplies from the states and they were horrible!

So far, the best Meguiars products that I own are the pads! Outstanding compared to those that the swedish detailing stores offer....
