  • 2001 Millennium Yellow Corvette

I'm erecting a shrine to Mike Phillips. Contributions accepted.

Mike came to Dallas a few weeks ago, braved a cold and THE cold, and taught us how to properly use our products. I took that knowledge and applied it this weekend and let me tell you...the results are just mind boggling. Thanks to Mike, I took the paint on my car to a whole new level. Here are some before and after shots. It might be hard to make out as yellow is a difficult color to photograph a reflection from, but believe me...it's there.

I washed, then clay bar, then used #80 with a D/A polisher, then finished up with 2 coats of NXT Tech Wax. I'm not even near done with it, but what a difference!

    Thanks so much Mike.

    A few "before" shots:

    Getting started...everything ready to go:

Interesting that you live in Waynesburg. I have a very close friend that lives there. Small world!

Thanks so much for all the nice comments. I have posted the full set of before and after garage build pics in the Break Room if anyone's interested. You may get some ideas for your own garage!

I guess you checked out the cardomain website. That is a nice garage you have there. Where did you get the mat's for the garage floor?

You didn't happen to post your car on corvetteforum.com did you? Your car and garage look really familiar. I'm on both these sites waaaaaay to much. Your car looks great! And yes, I too am emphatically in love with your garage. Seems only fitting that a vette should get that sort of tile treatment.

                        Looks great!
