First of all, a big thank you to MOL user Magnus for helping me learn how to upload to my Gallery and then post my pics here (we both use Macs and his instructions were perfect). Again, thanks.

Hope you enjoy these pics from my New Year's Day detail. It was a rare nice winter day here in MD. (Just now getting around to posting this to forum). My detailing info follows:

    Took delivery Sept 1st, 2005.

First full detail in Sept. included:
Wash with GC shampoo using a synthetic chamois.
    Dried with water magnet.
DC 1 by hand using high tech ap. pad-remove with terry.
DC 2 by hand using high tech ap. pad-remove with terry.
Two coats of NXT liquid (one day apart) applied with high tech ap. pad-remove with MF.

Second full detail in Oct. included:
Wash with GC shampoo using chenille wash pad and two bucket method with grit guards.
    Blow dry with leaf blower.
Quik Clay with QD. Wipe down with terry.
    Rewash and dry.
    #80 using DA/8006-remove with terry.
Two coats of NXT liquid (one day apart) using DA/9006-remove with MF bonnet on 7006. Final wipe down by hand with MF.
    GC Endurance gel on tires.
    NXT glass cleaner.

New Year's Day 2006 touchup detail included:
Touchless automatic car wash, then drive very slowly two blocks back to my house.
NXT speed detailer using MF detail pad-wipe with MF.
Wipe down wheels with old rag.
NOTE!! Ran out of time and did NOT use any tire dressing before photos were taken. Did not want to miss rare chance for good lighting and clouds in the middle of winter in MD.

    Comments:

Reflections turned out nice; but serious orange peel can be seen in the side reflection photo of tree and my silver BMW. I'll just have to live with it as I do not want to attempt to remove it myself.

All Megs products and accessories were easy to use and produced good results. I much preferred using the DA than working my hand. Highly recommend.

Sweet car! I'm green with envy... I wish I could get a C-320 TDI SE (224bhp@3800rpm 3.2 liter V6 turbodiesel)
Remember that you are UNIQUE - just like EVERYONE ELSE.

The photos showed great reflections. I especially like the contrast created by the body line in the lower portion of the rear bumper.

On that peel...the European models tend to have more of this. I've been told that it isn't as much of a concern abroad than in the US. Sure, I can see it on the car, but it seems natural to me and I wouldn't ever hold it against your car.

        Great results
See the big picture, enjoy the details

Thanks for your comments and compliment. Makes me feel a little better about that orange peel. At least it has a good reflection and wet look when clean. I love that.

I love the car and I would like to keep it looking good for years to come. That's why I decided to keep my 2000 BMW 328ci as my daily driver (approaching 130,000 miles this week). My Benz only has just under 4,000 miles after 5 1/2 months. I'll use it a lot more over the spring to fall season here in MD.

Don't know much about the "AMG" badge is it sport package or some goodies under the hood?

AMG is for Mercedes, like Shelby is (was?) for Ford.

Awesome car! I that engine really pulls in a C Class!

The paint looks terrific, deep, rich and wet.

AMG is like the M cars for BMW, etc.; their performance division.

It gives you a handbuilt, aluminum V-8 sporting 24 valves, 362 hp @5750 rpm, 376 lb ft torque at 4000 rpm, speedshift auto trans, lower body aero package, larger brakes and tires, sport tuned suspension, nice wheels, etc.

Loads of fun to drive, with the convenience of four doors and an automatic transmission.

Kept my Bimmer so I would still have a smaller manual trans coupe to drive also.

Thanks for the info, heard of the AMG but wasn't sure what it gave you. Sounds like a lot of fun!
