I hadn't used #20 in a while-forgot how good it is!

  • I hadn't used #20 in a while-forgot how good it is!

I don't do a lot of one step details but I do have a few customers who request them. Usually because they are paying for an employee's vehicle to be detailed as a reward.

2004 Chevy Tahoe. The paint was in decent shape, pretty much a requirement to one step clean/polish and seal paint. I applied #20 using a Meguiars polishing pad with the Porter Cable 7336/Meguiars G100 DA/RO polisher with the speed set on 5.

I got a few shade shots that afternoon and then some sun shots the next morning when I detailed another car at the same office complex.

Same process with this 2001 Isuzu Trooper and 2003 Ford Explorer.

What condidtion where those vehicles in to start with? Those look excellent for a one step. What's in #20 that makes it good for one stepping? I've never used it and don't have anybody that buys it so I'm not familiar with it. Most of my one steps (usually light colored dealer details) are done with #21.

They were all in pretty good shape. The Explorer did have some scratches in the hood but nothing was going to take those out. The rest of the Explorer was pretty good though.

#20 has a bit more cleaning power than #21 (similar to Klasse AIO) so it works well as a one step on paint in good condition. #20 gives a clear, wet finish. Really doesn't darken the paint like #26 or NXT does.

Vehicles look great. With all the new items to try, I had forgotten just how good paint can look with #20 on it. I am going to have to make sure I start using it again, always have been happy with the results I got from using it.

The SUV's have a nice shine to them. Dark color's show better reflection's. Here is some of reflection's from my car.
