I bought a new Prius and attended the Meguiar's Day with the Orange County Prius Club and PriusClub San Diego.

While my car is new, my old car (which I sold to my sister for her son) has scratches down the driver's side from when my old dogs (now deceased) used to jump up to go for a ride.

After the workshop I purchased some Scratch-X and Color-X to see how much it would help that car. It's a 1996 Black Saturn SC2 Coupe. I kept it garaged but they have it parked in the driveway.

Um, yes, that is a Mother's bottle. My Meguiar's Detailer bottle had a split in it and was leaking so I had to re-bottle. I'll be giving the rebottled Meguiar's gold to my nephew. You can see the NXT Gen stuff in the background. I'm switching to that for my own car.

But I am just thrilled with what I could do by hand with the Scratch-X and Color-X.

BTW that isn't black gold. It's plain old black. It's their special limited edition Anniversary car and plain black was a special color only available for that car.

I'm going to give the car a good wash and really go over the entire thing from clay bar to final wax. It may not look showroom but for a ten year old car it will look pretty good.

It really is too bad they keep it outside. They could keep it in the garage, as they have a three car garage, but their garage is full of junk.
