  • 2005 Chili Red MCSa Detailed

Here's a few pics from a car I worked on yesterday. Car had never been waxed since it was picked up from the dealer 4 months ago. Less than 5,000 miles, and lives outdoors. I washed, clayed, paint cleaned/polished using M83 & M80, then topped with M21. All applied with a PC, no rotary work involved.

I assembled a little Flash Movie of Before/After pix here:

I don't know if it's the angle that the pictures were taken or the distance away from the car you were, but I can't believe the absence of orange peel on that finish. Great detail btw.

MINI's don't have orange peel unless it was repainted. A few weeks ago I noticed a customer bonnet(hood) that had some orange peel, and when I inquired about it---she admitted that it was repainted--and she thought it was a superb job--never noticing the difference until I pointed it out to her. Whooops.

This Thursday, I've got an Audi S4 to detail.

          Thanks!

Thanks! Well for the past 2 years, I've been a serious detailing enthusiast. I've also given detailing classes to my club. Was only recently that I decided to accept money for my work and this just happened to be my first paying MINI customer. The E500 was my first paying non MINI customer also under Show Off.

I had posted a writeup on how I detailed a loaner car whie my MINI was being serviced. She thought I was nuts and the perfect person to work on her MINI.

We, MINI owners, are kinda of peculiar people. =)
