Black NSX-T Detail and Polish

Buffed out and detailed an Acura NSX-t today. The car was in good condition, however had heavy swirling caused by a car wash.
Here are the befores, it was about 7:30am when I started and it was very overcast, so pics were tough. These swirls were all over the paint.


After a good wash, used a mild clay, #83 on a polishing pad, #80 on a finishing pad, NXTx2. Here is the finished product:

I used the pc for everything. The pc and 83 got out about 98% of the scratches. Followed with the 80 on a finishing to clean up some of the light marring. Pictures don't do the car justice. The hood looked like a mirror. Very happy owner.

That looks great... Nothing like a clean well detailed black vehicle!

I like the swirl finder as well.... I noticed you have head phones on are you listening for defects in the paint?

PC take such a long time but I am going to have to invest in one...I dont know why I cant get consistant results with my rotary...it is frustrating as hell....are there any classes in the NY area that meguiars offers...

Really looks great! I also find that a PC with #83 and NXT and a finishing pad really work well. One thing you might try on top of that is the Gold Class Clear Coat Wax/Polish with the finishing pad---over the NXT. Really adds even more depth and gloss--not that you really need any more help with that!]

I'll have to try that out. I have actually never used gold class wax/polish. Should I let the NXT set before applying the gold class or can I apply it a few minutes after? I pretty much use nxt for cars that are driven often and p21s/zymol/pinnacle for weekend toys.

I've used it with great success on darker colored MINIs like Blue (Indi Blue), Red (Chili Red), and Black, and people say they can really tell the difference that the GC makes. I pretty much just use the PC and Finishing Pad after I've buffed off the NXT Tech Wax--just like a final coating. Haven't had any problems doing that.

Here's a picture of a red MCS Cabriolet I detailed and after it had been driven over 100 miles back home. The customer took this picture, so I really didn't have control over the lighting, but it looked great and I believe she took second place in a car show the next day! (NXT Tech Wax and Gold Class Clear Coat Wax/Polish)
