  • Rims.....

Here's a before/after of the backsides of my rims. I had to resort to steel wool (and a brass brush in places) along with Orange Clean and Mean Green. I even gave the rims a shot of oven cleaner and it didn't even make a dent in the stuff.

Afterwards, I put a coat of NXT followed by a coat of #16 that was allowed to sit overnight. Here are my results:

Looks good, looks like there was some baked on grime! Next chance I get I am going to pull my wheels off, clean them good and apply some NXT to the inside in hopes of keeping brake dust from sticking as much.

        Hey Don,
Do you have much trouble with applying tire gel (Endurance, etc.?) to the ridges on those GoodYear tires?

I have a set of GoodYears on our car that has the same ridges on them, and they tend to be gathering places for too much Endurance.

I thought the Endurance had set up on the tires ok, but the last time I washed the car, I noticed that the tire gel had slung all over the lower panels.

Have you experienced this problem too?
