  • Looking Much Better...

First, really love this site, lots of gurus here. Wish I found it much sooner though. Thanks everyone for sharing your experience and knowledge.

Finally got a chance to detail my car and it's my first attempt. It's pretty fun in fact. Spent 7 hrs today and the day was over before I could apply either NXT Tech wax or M26 on top of M07. will try to do it tomorrow or some time next week.

    Products and Tools used:
    -Makita 9227 and PC 7336
    -M80 and M07
    -W8006 and 9006 pads
    -Wash then Clay

    Thanks for viewing.

    Looks like a great improvement.

Just wanted to mention, if this car is driven much, the polish will not last to long in a day-to-dat environment. Be sure to wash well, but this may remove the polish, so you may be stuck re-polishing and waxing. A little extra work, but worth the results.

nice transformation! what did you clean it with before? one of those metal brushes one uses to clean the barbecue?? lol. anyways what are you talking about removing a polish?? i could have sworn that once a polish is wiped off with a clean microiber, its pretty much done with.. its not like a wax which it stays on there for a long time. if im wrong, please correct me. anyways, that was a great job which you have done. if it were me, i would be ecstatic

I used probably dirty cotton bonnet with rubbing compound by Turbowax to clean a minor scratches and the result was what you saw there.

Have been reading a lot and still confused as to what I should apply on next as final paint or surface protection on top of M07 SG, NXT wax? M26? Carnibal wax? Or combo? Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

apply on top of waxes? well you should know that the wax/protection should be your last step in the full paint detail. are you still looking to removie swirls or something of that sort? rock chips?? what should be applied on top of a wax should only be quick detailer with a clean towel to remove any dirt/stain/bird residue. there is no additional step that will add more gloss/shine to your paint. maybe you want to re-do a previous step. maybe a clay again ( windows as well ) , a much more fine polish such as #80 followed by #7 show car glaze and then your choice of wax? and how many coats of wax have you put? i heard to get the best results, a 2nd coat of wax should be applied 24 hours apart. there will be no difference after a 3rd layer of wax. if you have any questions , go ahead and address them
