  • Super-duper Extreme Make Over

Idea: I want to find a wreck of a car and detail it to the max. Of course everything will have to be detailable, meaning no painting or reupolstering or anything like that. This project will show how good Meguiars products are as well as the skills of my detailing business.

I found this car online. 1961 MERCURY, Commuter 9 pass wagon.

It is one of SIX made. Think this would be a good project?

I will be using 100% Meguiars products. I plan to take Before, in progress and after pics.

What would like to see me do on it? Any ideas?

    Cool idea Joe,

Does this car run at all? Where's it located?

Hmmmm. That paint looks pretty bad, are you sure it doesn't need a repaint?

I havn't seen it in person yet. If this one doesn't work out I will move to another.

I am awaiting more pics via e-mail. I hope I get them tonight.

The car is located in So. Cal. I am not sure exactly where but somewhere between me and Palm springs.

Is the car that you choose coming to you? Or do you have to travel to it? I would like to see that transformation also.

I guesS I have to go get it.

If is not do-able, the recycler and auto trader come out tomorrow. I will scan them to see if I can't find a project.

To bring home old cars I rent a trailer from u-haul.

wow, you could make a nice custom out of that. Paint and wheels and some engine work and it would be bad.

This paticular car is a no go. It needs way too much work than what can be done with detailing.

I am still looking though, stay tuned!
