This truck has very low mileage, but has suffered by being parked under a tree when not in use. There was some very hard stuck on sap covering most of the hood, roof, & A pillars. The truck was also rough and I suspected some light overspray coated the finish.
All the trim was bone dry and oxidized as well. Very common on these trucks.
I was asked to see what I could do about just the sap, trim, overspray and any time left for detailing would be performed after.
Before:

Dried out trim:

After cleaning the wheels, tires, & wells. I washed the paint and tried soaking the sap with 3D Citrus bug/tar remover.

It loosened it up but nowhere near enough to where the power washer would safely dislodge it. I tried Tarminator but the water on the paint from washing would not allow for the Tarminator to grab onto it.
I wanted to take care of the sap during the wash/decon but that did not end up happening.
Wash/prep:
Pressure wash
Foamed/washed with NXT Generation Car Wash.
Wheels degreased with Wheel Brightener.
Tires, wells, & trim degreased with PP 1:1.
Jambs cleaned with 3D Orange Degreaser.
Clay while washing.
IronX decontamination.
Rewash.
During:

After another pressure wash & drying. I applied some Tarminator to all the sap and let it sit overnight. At around midnight I came out on the garage & blotted some of the heavy areas with undiluted D Line glass cleaner.
By this time I was able to pick it off with my nail but that still was not good enough. I ended up doing another application of Tarminator the next day and manually removed the sap with the Tarminator and a microfiber towel. Had to follow that with an ONR wash as all the affected areas were covered in oily residue. Took a good two hours for this alone.
Interior:
Vac/dry brush/vac.
Carpeted mats pressure washed & shampooed with 3D Carpet Shampoo.
Center console removed/ plastic inserts soaked in Dawn Odor Eraser.
Vinyl cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner & hot water mix.
Vinyl/plastic treated with Quik Interior Detailer.
Carpet/upholstery sprayed with Poorboys leather air freshener.
Glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.
Jambs washed with ONR.
After:

Exterior.
ONR wash to remove dust & Tarminator residue.
Waxed/sealed with HD Poxy.
Trim restored with All Season Dressing x2.
Chrome polished with Mothers chrome polish.
Tires/wells dressed with Hyper-Dressing 1:1.
Working on the trim:
