One step exterior, complete interior.
It is used mainly as a work truck, interior was in bad shape and the exterior needed a good cleaning before any sort of polishing and sealing was done.
I kept the truck for a couple of days while the owner was out of town.
Some befores:
I started by doing the interior first for a change. The carpet and seats were calling me out.
I dry brushed and did a vac on the carpet, All hard surfaces such as the vinyl and rubber were cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, cotton towels, and various brushes. Then dressed with Quik Interior Detailer.
The seats were cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner , terry cloths, and a brush. I got them pretty wet so they were dried with the blower option on my shop vac, cotton towels, and they air dried a couple hours later. I did this twice.
The carpet was cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, a carpet brush, warm water, and then extracted with warm water, my shop vac, and cotton towels to dry.
All cracks and crevices were brushed out of all dirt and grime.
The doorjambs were pressure washed and cleaned with soap and water then sealed with #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer.
The glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1 and cotton towels.
The headliner had a film of dirt, I soaked a terry cloth with hot water, sprayed some All Purpose Cleaner on the terry cloth and carefully wiped down the headliner. I got it ever so slightly damp but quickly followed with a dry cotton towel.
The floormats had a lot of dirt and debris deep into the pile of the carpet. I took each mat and beat them against a tree for a while.
I then did a dry brush and vac on them.
I then sprayed them down liberally with All Purpose Cleaner, agitated with a carpet brush and warm water, then went over them with the shop vac.
To rinse out the cleaning solution and clean them even better I placed them in the bathtub and agitated with a brush while soaked underwater.
The mats were bad enough that they could have used this extra step.
I then went over them with the shop vac again, dried them with cotton towels, then set them out to air dry.
The finished interior:
After the interior was done, I wanted to make the bed of the truck look at least a little better:
I pressure washed the bed for a good fifteen minutes to remove all the dirt and grime.
I then foamed the bed up with NXT Generation Car Wash and scrubbed it with a long handled brush.
I pressure washed the bed again to remove the soap, I then pressure washed the entire truck including the frame and undercarriage.
I cleaned the wheels, tires, and wells with Super Degreaser, Wheel Brightener, and All Purpose Cleaner. I also foamed them up with NXT Generation Car Wash and then did a pressure wash rinse after the cleaning was done.
I foamed up the entire truck with three oz of Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner, three oz of #62 - Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner, and one oz of NXT Generation Car Wash, then filled the rest with water and used the highest setting.
Bugs got the soap solution and a bug sponge, the rest was washed with a white Meguiars wash mitt.
I then did a complete rinse with the pressure washer.
I dried it with some WMs and let the bed dry out and the cracks/crevices dry out over night.
The next day I clayed the paint with Detailing Clay (Mild) and Last Touch Spray Detailer at 1:1.
I polished the paint with #205 - Ultra Finishing Polish using my PC and several W8207 pads.
PC/M205/W8207/S6:
I sealed the paint with NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 by hand.
Wheels were polished with Hot Rims Chrome Polish and sealed with #20 - Polymer Sealant.
Tires and wells were dressed with #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner.
The exterior trim was dressed with Ultimate Protectant.
The running boards got steel wool and Glass Cleaner Concentrate then sealed with #20 - Polymer Sealant.
Glass was wiped clean with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1 and cotton towels.
The bug shield got revived with a bit of PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish and some terry cloths.
I think thats it.
The sun barely popped out for a couple of shots, definitly a color that looks great in the sun.
