    Thanks for the compliment!
Keep hanging out here on MOL, and you'll get a wealth of information! This place is full of quality people that I learn from everyday

Make sure you ask questions! Understand what you're doing BEFORE you attempt anything, and you'll be fine.

I appreciate your result - paint looks fantastic. If I used the the same process, my price would be around $350 for a complete detail.

What type of pads did you use for M105 and M205? How can I learn how to do this? Are there videos that I can buy?
Man, this was so long ago that I've forgotten which pads I used Although I'm almost positive it was wool with the rotary and foam on the DA.

As far as video's, I've never paid attention to any video's, so I can't comment on the value of any of them. Just practice practice practice

In any case, as everyone said, awesome restoration!
18 hours is nothing. I've spent as much as 50-60 hours polishing the paint on some vehicles. I don't just run through them with 1 step buffing and another polish, then wax and call it a day. I work each individual section 1 inch at a time, then polish one small section at a time. Then polish again, and maybe even a 4th step. Then once I'm completely happy with the results, I'll go to wax.
A single door by itself could take me 4-6 hours alone. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to this stuff

Any way you could post your process on this one in a little more detail? Like what pads you used and at what speeds? I own a similar vintage Ford truck that I am trying to restore the paint on. I am using a rotary for the fist time and have thus far tried D151 with foam cutting and polishing pads. The D151 is great to work with, but is pretty slow going requiring many passes to remove the swirls. I do have some samples of M105/M205 and am planning on trying that next.

Great job on this Mustang by the way. I always enjoy your posts.

    Thanks,
    Shawn
