Hi folks!
This weekend was the weekend to fully correct and protect my mate's ardenblue Opel Astra OPC. He always looks after his car but in the past days he washed the car using only 1 bucket and a sponge what caused many many swirls and holograms. The paintwork looked grey instead of blue.
He also did some laps on track (Nürburgring) and often goes for faster rides on the Autobahn, or let's say we do that together, so he also has many many stone chips.
So, on friday when he came back from work he filled the stone chips with some base coat of paint and over filled them with a clear cote.

The next day was the day everything had to be done. So I start with some before pictures.

We washed the tyres, rims and the whole car using the two bucket method, Shampoo Plus and EZ Wheel Brush plus Meg's All Wheel Cleaner for the rims.

Then we clayed the car.

Second wash using the 2 bucket method and then drying the car.

Thoma's girlfriend, named Sarah, was in a very good mood the whole day as can be seen here
.

We then wetsanded the painted stone chips with 2000 grit paper and I removed the increased swirls marks with my new Makita 9227CB, Light Cutting Pad and Menzerna IP 3.02. After some explaining words Thomas follwed with Megs #80 on a Megs Polishing Pad. But be warned!! Wet sanding can cause serious damage to the paint! Defenetly first try it on some parts before trying on your own or someone else car! You are removing more clearcote than polishing and if you do it to long or with too mich pressure you can damage the paint.

Some 50/50 shots of the door:

Bonnet and wing after the same combination:

And some random polishing shots:

Sarah was also working hard, she applied Megs leather care to the seats, Endurance High Gloss to the tyres and Poorboys Wheal Sealant to the rims.

As the left side and bonnet where done I went over with Megs #34 and then applied the first layer of Dodo Juice Purple Haze. A great decision for this color! The car looked so amazing wet and deep aswise! Awesome! We were very pleased with the results.

So we did the other side.

Before we did a break I polished the exhaust with Autosol and we took the car out to have a look under sunlight! And again, we were so pleased! No scratch to see, but a deep shing blue like the Cote d'Azur!

Took the car back in and had some meal Sarah made for us
.

Back to the paint correction on the rear end, 50/50:

And after:

After that we polished the roof and the front while Sarah was doing the heas lights, taillights and fog lights with Plast X.

We allready applied the second layer of Dodo Juice Purple Haze. The paintwork was even smoother after the 2nd one! I think it also looked better, but we did apply a 2nd one to guarantee a 100% coverage.

To remove the last dust and create even more shining I went over with Zaino Z-8 and a new unused Monster Fluffy.

The work took us 18 hours, 18 hours usefull spend if it was me.
But I think Thomas is also happy
. Well, I know it!
Special thanks to Sarah who made us lough a lot and worked very very well!
And from yesterday eveing some shots from Düsseldorf city
