A friend of mine has a small collection of old motorcycles and has asked me if I could help him out with their restoration. The first piece I did was a gas tank of a 1966 MZ Trophy (MZ was an East German company, quite renown in our region
). The objective was rather simple - bring back the shine.
On the paint I used ScratchX (up to 4 applications) followed by NXT 1.0 followed by DC3. The plastic bits had some Natural Shine and the tank lid was treated with Mag and Aluminium Polish.

And these are a couple of "after" shots:






You can see that the tank itself is quite banged up (if that's a good expression) but my friend decided he would like to keep the original paint and original looks of the tank rather than having it repaired and repainted. And I think it is a good approach. Thank you for watching.
