  • 1994 Yellow BMW Makeover

Friend brought his car over while it was raining out. He said that the paint was like a chalk board. Of course I thought that he was going a little overboard when he said that. Well, I washed the car at night. When I woke the next morning, I could not believe what I was looking at. He was telling the truth!

I started with some simple scratch x and then to the M80, M83, and two coats of NXT 2.0

He could not believe his eyes! Everyone thinks that he had the car repainted!

Looks a lot better. You even have some nice reflection on the right side shots. Great improvement. Looks so much better. Way to go.

Yeah, some of the pics are 50/50. If you look hard on the hood, you can tell that the right is done and the left is not. The weather wasnt helping on these either. For the interior, I soaked the carpet in the Quick Out then I scrubbs with adamp towel. I also soaked the seats with the leather conditioner. I used the interior detailer for the dash and etc.

The before and after picture results make it look like you're working on a single stage paint? Were you seeing yellow paint on your buffing pads?

If so, if you've worked on clear coated cars also, which would you say is now your favorite type of paint to work on?

              Single Stage or Basecoat/Clearcoat paints?

              Nice save!

Well, it is factory paint on the car. I at first was thinking that it was single stage until he told me that it has never been painted.

Anyway, I think that I would rather do clear coat jobs. They seem easier.
