  • Porsche 993 (911) - woolpad special

Today a friend and I tackled a Porsche from a friend of mine. He just got it from Italy and needed some love (finally al lot of love).... What in the world happened to this Porsche! This didn't see a wax in the last 10 years I guess. The paint was dull and looked like if it was sanded with 2000 grit. You even could see the swirls in the shadow.

. It was a new record for me.

Whoolpad- M84 (Touched it a little bit, so 3 passes and 85% correction)

    M83 - W7006

    M83 - W8006 on the G220.

    M7

Rear window: PlastX and a 9006 finishingpad on the rotary. (very carefully)

Than further with the whole shabang! interior extracted, glitpone etc etc etc. Dodo Blue Velvet on the exterior!

I think pics say more than words. (18 solid hours of work )

After 10 minutes. Not a lot of wax....

    Need swirls

Washing the car for the second time. After the woolpad and the 7006pad we wanted a clean underground to work on.

Some pictures made bij the owner the same night. He postes on the dutch Meguiar's forum that he never expected such an extreme makeover

    Thanks for reading.

Great job on the car! It looks great and it's nice to see all of the pics.

What are you using on your pressure washer to get that much foam? How about the soap in the container? I'm interested in getting a foaming setup for myself.
It's only weird because it's not normal

It is probably hyper wash. That works the best. The atachment is a foam gun.

The shampoo in the foamgun is Poorboys Maxi Suds. We only used it for the foamgun.

We washed the car with M62.

Very nice work and i especially like the half and half shots. You can really see the difference and how much you were able to bring back the color

Nice work! Great detailed pictures as well! Is the 993 Lapis Blue? I was a Porsche Service Advisor for a number of years and the 993 has always been one of my favorite 911's. It looks sharp!

                wow, what a great transfomation

a dark blue is my personal favorite color, it has many of the same qualities of a black when freshly detailed, but doesnt look that bad when it's not

Beautiful Porsche, and great pictures, especially the pics during the foam wash.

P.S. What is the correct way to say "Porsche"? Is it the two syllabul "Por-sha", or the single syllabul "Porshe"?

You didn't see the episode about porsche from Two and a Half Men? I think the correct way to say it is por-sha with the a on the end.

First we foamed with with maxi ssf, rims with wheel Brightener and P21S, tires and arches with safe degreaser and M62 for the shampoo. Dried with the Miracle dryer. The top got the megs cleaning M71. An than, onto the claying with the red aggressive Meguiar’s clay which took e 2 1/2 hours!!

Excellent turn around !!!! The person that allowed that car to get in that shape should be beaten severly.
