today i did a detail job on one of my favorite colors:black
it's the most beautiful color on a car,when it's flawless,and clean.
this car is a seat leon, one of seats top selling models overhere, and alltough it was delivered by the dealer jus two weeks ago(it was a second hand, build in 2002),they didn't detail it very well.
a lot of cobwebbing, and swirls in the paint, which the new owner didn't see, until we washed it properly.
it seems like the dealer had some kind of silicon wax on it,and in the showroom there is only fluorescent light, which took the inperfections out of sight in the first place, but after washing, they came out pretty hard.
here are some pic's:
after washing,we wiped it dry with a good quality chamois
the hood before we went to polishing:
same spot after polishing/waxing:
here is the result after a 3,5 hour detail job:
and another one:
this is what i did with the car:
-washed with gold class shampoo,
-dried with a quality chamois,
-did a test with body scrub and pc,and maroon pad by meg's,but this wasn't strong enough,
-got the rotary out of the box,and used a polishing pad and dacp #83,on the whole car (it had sooo much swirls/scratches,you wouldn't believe)
-wiped the car down with a fresh mf towel,
-wiped it again, with a fresh mf towel, and quick detailer,to get rid of some dust),
-waxed the car with finishing pad,and gold class wax,
-cleaned the windows,cracks and crevices,
- dressed the tyres, with hot shine,
-and gave it a final wipe down outside,
it was really like brand new again, flawless, and super reflective,
the owner was very very pleased, and because he was there the whole time,he knew that detailing is not done in one hour.
he said:
this should be registered as a form of art.
thank you!
that's it for now,
bye
