      That is simply unbelievable.

It's wonderful to see original era paint on a vintage vehicle. Too me, that is true restoration, bringing old paint back to its original state as opposed to an expensive and antiseptic re-paint. You've resussitated the true soul of this car.

If you ever come to KY bring your stuff and cash and I'll turn you loose on my '55 Chevy.

Re: 1960 Olds Ninety Eight Extreme Makeover

Hi, I'm new to this board, I've been reading and learning a lot. I have a 59 Olds 88 that is the same color as this 60. My car is also original lacquer paint and I am trying to clean and wax it. I started by trying Mothers cleaner wax and all that did was leave it blotchy and looked bad. I then tried turtle wax and that didn't do much better. All I've done is the roof and half the hood.
I was wondering if I should use clay, then #7, then carnuba wax.
The paint is in good shape just dry and kind of oxidized.
            Thanks for the input.
            Jon

It seems that I cannot include and attatchment right now, I can include some pics of the car and paint once I'm allowed to.
