Duckman,
My picture was a before after all in one - the sun-spot is on just the right side of the line where my work ends. I polished the left side, and the right side was the before.
Granted, there were a few swirls still in the paint, but the change was dramatic.
I've attached another pic trying to illustrate the difference.Attached Files

Thanks foris2
Admittedly...I can't say I 'removed' the scratches, as that would have removed the cc as well...I really just softened the edges to make the scratches really difficult to see....
I followed the Meg principal of using the least abrasive material first...and worked up to #84 with the rotary for several passes. What made it really difficult was the proximity of the scratches (both sides of the car had them) to the door handle!
After the #84 I went back over the car with #83 to 1) remove any holograms I might have caused with the #84 and 2) because the car looked horrible!...you may notice the 'haze' in the before pic...that car had some of the worst oxidation on cc I've seen in a while...
Hope this helps!!

Before, notice the hazy finish and seemingly thousands of small scratches covering the entire car:
After, shine and color have been restored, swirls and scratches are totally gone:
How's that for dramatic?

That "before" pic was taken while it was being sanded.
