Is there a reason why didn't you use speed 6?

Took me about a week and a half, and cost me my lower back. Hahah. Not a week and a half straight, I'd take a day or two off. It was cake walk after the 4 applications of #83.

Oh yeah, as far as smells go, #83 was by far the best.

Wow, all that with the G100, very impressed. Would have thought you'd need to bump up to a rotary to get that mess cleared up!

What is mazda paint like to work with? Is it soft?

Who knows, the guys said he washed it and dried it, and alway had it under a cover. My guess is he dusted it off often with a regular towel and the dust just scratched in. Or it could be from putting hte cover on and off with a dusty car. Or the cover could have been made from metal screen with embedded rocks. LOL.

how was this car taken 'care' of? I dont know if I have seen a finish that bad. It seems it would have looked better if the owner never touched it.

But it looks killer now. Great job.

    Miracle buff job!

Ok, lets start off showing the before pictures. Its a 93 RX-7 with Montego Blue paint. The paint looked like ****. At best I was hoping to save it from the booth.

Here are the pics: (these are after a wash, dry, and clay bar)

    Now, my process was this:

    - #83 with Sonus SFX-1 pad on the G100. Speed setting 5. Four applications on the horrizontal surfaces, three applications on the vertical.

    - #80 with Sonus SFX-2 pad on the G100. Speed setting 5. One application.

    - #7 with Sonus SFX-2 pad on the G100. Speed setting 3.5. One application.

    - #21 with Sonus SFX-3 pad on the G100. Speed setting 3. Three applications on horrizontal surfaces, two on vertical surfaces.

    After pics:

Should have cleaned the windows huh?

If I got off work earlier I would have got some actual sunlight pics that you guys like so well, but its nearly dark when I get home. I'll have to wait for a sunny weekend day. It turned out better than I could have ever thought. All the swirls and fine scratches are gone, however some of the water spot etchings are still there (I could feel them with my finger, so they stayed). I am very pleased with the results, the Meguiars products, and the G100. Thanks for all yoru help and advice.
