  • *LITTLE HATCHBACKS WITH ENGINE*

This is VW pointer (also known as gol in Brazil) its pretty much new its a 2005 model but as you'll see a bad carwash and no wax can do a lot of damage.

This are some bird droppings that no matter what I did, they didn't come off completely, the combination of no wax, a lot of sun and 2 weeks can do this to any car.

this was after washing the car x2

    A close up.

All the paint had some little white dots.

Some water spots this paint had all the defects.

Ready to make a side by side shot.

    The products used were:
    1.- NXT generation car wash
2.- Blue clay bar from the professional line mild.
    3.- DACP # 83 (like magic)
4.- Show car glaze #7 (old and truste for the wet look)
5.- NXT generation Tech wax (only because I don't have #21)

Now some pictures of the very dirty tires.

    The products used were:
1.- All the tire brushes from the meguiar line.
2.- Super degreaser from the professional line.(this stuff eats dirt)
    3.- All wheel cleaner.
4.- Endurance gel applied like this (works for me):
how to apply tire dressings (gel type)

    After some superdegreaser and scrubbing.

the side mirrors and fenders are black plastic and received some NXT tech protect.

    FINAL SHOTS

The bird droppings in the sun before all the steps.

this was the best I could do.

Looks great! I would call that an 'extreme makeover', very nice work, looks like a new car.

Well this is to show that you can detail the engine in little time if you use the right tools for the job. Like superdegreaser from the professional line. I didn't wax the painted parts because it takes more time but color X is excellent for that task or the inside of the doors.

1.- First you must cover the alternator and another sensible parts.
2.- Spray water to the cool engine don't worry it must be water proof.
3.- Then use the degreaser (it's better to make 2 passes than trying to remove all the grease and dirt the first time).
                4.- Rinse very well.
5.- Then dry the engine very well and start the engine for a minute or two.
6.- Spray the dressing and let it dry for 10 minutes.
7.- Remove the excess and presto like new.

                After using the degreaser.

                Rinsing.

Now the engine is clean but the dressing makes the trick.

After using the dressing NXT tech protect, and it's very glossy but if you leave it like that it will atract a lot of dust.

I waited like 10 minutes and with a towel removed the dressing for a more mate look.

                FROM THIS:

TO THIS (IN LIKE 25 MIN).

Wow, the car must really have been mistreated, to look like that in such a short time. But you made it look new again

Looks like you also got rid of tosee white dots in the paint?

And that engine was dirty! Nice transformations.

I had bird droppings that looked that bad and finally got them out after using Scratch X (and great instructions from Mike Phillips). I thought they had etched through the clear coat, but, to my surprise, they didn't.

Try some Scratch X after you get to the point where you've done all you can with other products. It will take a few minutes per spot, but they should come out.

Hard to believe the car was only a year old. I mean seriously, that car couldnt have been an 05'.

                        Nice job.

This is another hatchback that is also not sold in the states and there is even a convertible version that is sold only in Europe is the Ford Ka. I didn't take a lot of before pictures but you'll get the idea.

When the sun got out I took some pictures to show the swirls.

Again this was with only one pass of the DACP #83 with the porter cable.

The front lights were very damaged the owner didn't know what caused it.

                          A close up.

But one application of plastx with the pc improved it much more, but I think that wet sanding was needed for a near perfect job, but plastX is a good product on it's own.

It was very cloudy but the car looked better.
