  • Ford fiesta mk3 (1989)

I bought this car about a year ago. The paint was in really bad condition and it still needs improvement but it has come a long way I guess.

I still have to deal with rust around the fuel cap (which is common on those older fiesta's) and on the wheel arches.

I don't have a product overview shot, but here's what I've used so far:

    - NXT Carwash
    - Washmitt
    - MF
    - Claybar + QD
    - Step 1, 2, 3
    - GC Trim detailer

The last shot is where I used the NXT and GC, the previous photographs were taken after the first Meg. products were delivered (washmitt, mf and step)

    original condition of the car

    using claybar and QD

    new paint close-up

still not perfect - but changes are surely noticable.

reflection shot after using GC liq. wax (tester came with my order)

A week after two coats of GC liq. wax I gave "her" a wash with the freshly arrived NXT Car wash (wow!)

    Nice job on the fiesta..

That paint was crying for some clay!
Never argue with an Idiot.. They'll only drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience..

yeah - though I wonder if I can take out those scratches with scratchX but my guess is that they're too deep

I'll just wait until we have a car care clinic here in Belgium at Meguiars and I'll ask them for advice.

I did a speed-detail today (3 hrs) because Sunday it's "Race Wars" on the Zolder circuit (sprint, car show, etc) and well "she" just needed some attention

        - NXT Car Wash
        - Wash Mitt
        - Polish step 2
        - Wax step3 (2 coats)
        - MF

I think the wet look worked out pretty well considering the condition of the paint (see previous posts) and on a silver metallic car.

Great improvement there, probably great workout also doing it all by hand. Have u considered getting a polisher? I would like to try some M #80 with my Cyclo +NXT paste on that paint But I'm not sure I could make an improvement.

I bought a polisher a few days ago and worked the car two days in a row:

            Saturday
            - NXT car wash
            - QD / Clay

            Sunday
            - M83
            - Step3 - DC wax (left over)
