  • Detailed Interior of a Lexus LS430

The story is, my mom asked me to clean the interior of her car, and I don't like doing interiors, but then she said she'll try to do it herself then and I knew I could do a better job and she kept buggin me so she got me to. Now, she takes our dog everywhere. So there's dog hair everywhere and especially under the seats and along the sides of them. Along w/ the dirtiest leather I've ever seen. And the carpets needed to be cleaned as well. Now in case anyone asks about the preforated leather, I tried the gc wipes (they work but now quick enough) so then I tried GC aloe cleaner and to make sure it didn't get into the holes I applied it to a mf and then kinda rubbed it into the mf so that it's just a little saturated with the cleaner and then went over the area I was going to clean with little pressure, just to coat the surface of the leather with the cleaner and then rubbed it in. So I had no issues with the cleaner getting into the holes. As with the GC leather spray, I sprayed it onto a mf and spread it over the leather. And I used Apc to clean the carpets with a brush.
Her directions btw were, "clean everything"
    Products used:
    Vacuum
    APC
    interior brush
    natural shine
    GC Leather Cleaner
    GC spray leather cleaner/conditioner
    NXT Glass cleaner
    Quik interior detailer

    This project took 6 hours.
Sorry the pics aren't very good.

    Before:

Yeah the seats aren't suppose to be yellow.

    Difference:

    After:

Carpets aren't perfect, but better, and I didn't have enough time to do a 2nd application on the carpets. And if you could see the leather in real life, it's like new. I know the pics don't show it as well as I personally see it but you can tell everything looks better.

Me and my brother both drive so we never spend time in her car.
But even worse, little sister and her friends always eating candy and junk food and I never took a pic of it, but there was dried up ketchup, a lot of it, in the seam of the rear seat and it took a minute or 2 to work it out. Plus the dog that gets hair everywhere. Plus I don't understand how people think that the side pockets and ash trays are for trash/ wrapers and spitting your gum into. That was a pain, I told my mom never let anyone eat or drink in her car again and if they say they won't leave trash or spill, don't believe them, they'll still do it.
