    WOW
    What a great result!!!

I am about to detail the Lexus LS430 (1994) of my "boss". I can only hope that it will turn out as nice as this one!

    Greetings

I've since gotten an email from the owner saying she was stunned to find another ES300 owner waiting for her by her car in the local grocery store parking lot. He wanted to know about how it looked so good and that he couldn't believe it was original paint. She told him it was recently detailed and he gave her a big thumbs up.

You are quite a perfectionist. I love it! Tell me, do you treat the Lexus interior as leather or as vinyl. I was told that some manufacturers, in particular Lexus (I have two fo them) cover their leather with a thin coat of vinyl. Mercedes does not. I was told to treat the Lexus leather with vinyl products rather than leather products. Any info on this?

Great job on the Lexus. I'm faced with the prospect of claying my wife's car. I hope I have the same results that you did. I'm new at this amount of detailing a car. I sometimes feel like I'm flying by the seat of my pants. But, seeing how you guys do it, gives me enough confidence to try. Keep up the good work. Great job!

                  Thanks Monk and 23Jam,

regarding the leather/vinyl question. I treated the interior with leather cleaners primarily because I assumed that vinyl cleaners would be more harsh than something for leather and I assumed that since the seats were leather, that would be the best product types to use. However, like all products that you apply to interiors, whether leather or vinyl, you need to test it on a small spot that isn't visible to ensure that your product choice is compatible.

23Jam--just give it a try! Always work with the least aggressive products first in whatever process you take, take your time, and post your questions here so we can help!
