  • Demonstrating #21 to others

This has happened to me twice now.

Once someone sees #21, sees how to apply it, sees how nice it looks, and sees how long it lasts, the first thing they ask is how do they get some.

I demonstrated it for one friend who made me give him a 4oz sample, and at our club's detail day last month Jamie from Sky Designs brought some and demonstrated it, and we bought a half gallon to split among 3 of us.

This is another one of those special products, like ColorX, that performs waaaaaay beyond expectations.

As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

I do it a little differently, I invite them to the house and we do up a full detail. Sometime takes 2-3 days. I amke them do most of the work while I clean up my stuff behind them and get them ready for the next step. I'll coach them though each step until I feel they have the hang of it than I peel off and find something else to do. When they leave they have a firm grasp of the whole 5 step program. I don;t charge for this as I enjoy it but I do make them buy the food. Makes for a great wekend with freinds and such.

We did a '98 Mustang up a few weeks ago. The man was astounded at the difference we were able to make with it. We cleaned up everything with various Meg's washing porducts, then Clayed. Used #80 then went on the apply 2 coats of #21 then topped with NXT. It was flawless other than a bad paintjob on the fiberglass hood.

Place one drop on pad and apply to entire vehicle.

I couldn't agree more Tom, it is the ONLY thing that goes on the wife's AXIOM. Before owning such a large vehicle, durability was not my main concern. Once I dicovered how much sheet metal was there compared to my civic, I found durability at the top of my needs for a LSP.

#21 is so durable and looks so nice that one could argue it is the only LSP needed in the arsenal. Now that's not what we will do because we like to purchase and try new products solely for the academic discussion.

          • * Make sure you have properly cleaned and polished the finish before application.

            * Apply a thin coat to the finish, whether by hand or machine. Just like any wax, thoroughly, but gently, work the wax into an over the finish.

            * Allow the wax to cure/dry until it swipes clear.

            * Remove using a clean, soft premium microfiber polishing cloth, or 100% cotton towel.

            * In a perfect world, apply a second coat 12-24 hours later.

The below car is the first car I've done a "Complete" to since this wax came out. I must say, I was very impressed with the finish results this LSP created.

Mike, it's really really close to the look you get with #26, IMO. Just a tad not as dark, but in many other ways better. It's wet, reflective, and deep, and lasts forever. Regardless of what the lab tests say, this is the long lasting one.

mike If I already have #26 on my car would #21 work correctly over it?
or should i use dc1 first?

M21 has a light cleaner in it, not much that I can tell personally. If it were me, taking into consideration that the wax you've applied to your car is always wearing off anyway, (unless you park your car in a garage and never drive it), I would wash or quick detail the car and apply M21 over whatever is there already.

I think you hit the nail on the head there.
