I use a 50/50 mix of Final Detail & water for a clay lube, and I've got to the place where I like to wear a mask to keep from breathing the fine mist.

I don't think the mist is harmful, but it is sort of irritating to breathe it after a while.

Last Touch is the replacement for FD.

I bought a gallon of Wheel Brightener recently. After reading about it on another website, I decided to dilute it 3:1. This is really stronger than necessary. Once this spray bottle is empty it will be filled back up with a more diluted solution. I always wear gloves when use the Wheel Brightener. However, as I don't have a pressure washer, I usually end up scrubbing the wheels a bit to get all the brake dust off. This results in me inhaling some of the fumes. It really tears my throat up pretty badly. My eyes were irritated too after the first time I used it. However, I've never seen a more effective wheel cleaner. I think my next purchase will be a mask.

Wheel Brightener is a VERY harsh product; I now have a gallon on order after using it one time at another detail shop I was hired to work with on a particularly bad reconditioning job. I figure if any detailing product/chemical is going to ever give me cancer, it's this one.

Oh well, at least I'll die knowing my wheels are really, really clean!!

            Re: No Wheel Brightner

I have WB and I use it every wash and I thought it's gentle as Meguiars name written on the galon! I'll try dilute the next bottle with 10:1 as what superior shine recommend.

what is really harsh is the APC.

            Thanks for the info.
