  • 05 Ram 1500 M205 and Megs UW

Went ahead and polished it really well with M205, only has some very light swirls left over from last time I did a rush job on it with UC and UP.

Wanted to give it a good going over and I had the time to do it right this time.

M205 and Yellow pad set on 5 using the G110 V2 and finished up with ULW and the black pad.

Yep, and it took the remaining swirls out also.

Figured I will put the 2nd coat of UW on today and then follow up with 2 coats of M26 on Sat and Sun.

Very nice. Wish mine were white. What do you use on the door handles, tailgate handle, etc.?

I just use plain old Armor All, nothing special really is needed really, it still works like it always has.

Nice work on the RAM, and a great job showing the versatility of M205! Sure, it's a finishing polish and is a great follow up to heavy defect correction done with M105 or similar, but you've proven that a somewhat more aggressive use of M205 can do wonders for lighter defects while enhancing clarity at the same time. We're sure a lot of people might think using M205 on a yellow pad at speed 5 is a bit odd, but we think it's great use of the product and shows an open mind to the process of paint polishing. Sometimes stepping outside the norm is the right way to go, and that certainly looks to be the case here. Nicely done!

                  Thanks Mike,

M205 is an awesome product and have found that it can be used for anything from lighter defect removal to jeweling just by changing pads, speed and technique.

Personally I think it's the best polish out there right now.

I just used it like I would M105, 4 to 5 section passes and on speed 5 it really did what I wanted it to, so I did it in one step instead of 2 as I felt like M105 would have been overkill really.

And I could work larger areas at a time because M205 doesn't flash as fast as M105 does so it was a win = win for me.
