  • Problems with M82 Swirl free polish

    Hi,

I live in Panama city, Panama (Central America). I have a small detailer shop. I normally use M82 after we apply the M85 with great results.

Now, the problem we have with the M82 is that for some reason it becomes liquid instead of being thick like when is new. The first time it happen I though that maybe I got a bad gallon or something, but now it happen to the second gallon that I bought.

Panama is very humid, will this cause problems with the M82?

    Thanks,

    Bolivar

Hi Bolivar, and welcome to MOL.

I've had that same issue before with #82 myself. However, my problem resulted from storing the product in clear dispenser bottles. (I presume #82 has to be protected from UV light or it will break down?)

I find it is best to keep it in the original container and stored inside my home, as I've had no problems with it breaking down since then.

      Hi Rusty,

When it breaks down, can it be fix? or I have to trow it away?

I have them in there original container and the two of them break down.

      Thanks,

      Bolivar

I don't think it can be used after it separates.

The product turns into a combination of liquid / chalky like substances upon breakdown, and it would be a pill to use in that condition. I had to literally dig the chalky stuff out of my dispenser just to clean the bottle out.

Whoever sold it to you should refund your money.

Report the problem to your distributor and they should replace it.

I only have a sampler from ADS in the clear bottle, kept in a dark cabnet and it's like water now.

I figured it was just from the heat & used it anyway. Worked fine except a bit of a PIA to use since on a buffer the initial spin flings product everywhere.

I've had two quart size bottles of #82 in the past five years, and the product only went bad when it was stored in clear dispensers.

Never had a problem with it breaking down in the beige container.

No issue with #83, #80, or #81 breaking down in clear bottles for what it's worth.

The only product I've had break down was some #9 that lived in a clear bottle inside a black detailing bag...just like I store all my travel products. Go figure?

thanks for bringing up here guys

In malaysia megs detailer consumer faces the same problem

another solution is change to M9

P/S for those of u would like to store it slightly longer (keep ing in fresh -in a way)

pls do retained the seal & recap each time u open it

This u can prolong the storing life, Megs is created & tested on US ground...when it is shipped to humid & hot country some hows the substance changes

                        p/s i find M21 does too
it only takes a little patience and plenty of PASSION!!
